    MKV Rec Tone opinions Please???

Trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

    Mark IV combo effects loop.

The channel volumes control the signal level going into the effects loop- that's your send level.

Dual Rectifier change to Triaxis.. good idea?

It's like anything else, the learning curve is too steep for even seasoned veterans. Pedals have real knobs and you just stick it somewhere in your signal path. MIDI Rack Systems/Switchers are not intuitive or easy to setup. Something like the G-System that combines the controller and switcher...

Dual Rectifier change to Triaxis.. good idea?

Easy answer - Kurt Cobain killed rack. Though ironic since he himself used a Mesa rack peamp and Crown power amp.

I got my IV in near mint for $1,200 recently.

    Getting some lip on YouTube

Diezels are overpriced for the US market just like Boogies are outrageous for the European market.

Try a parametric eq to tighten up a rectifier!!!!!

What JB are you using that you think it has more bass than EMGs? JB is known for lacking any semblance of bass.

    Well I'll be damned.

Tighten up the bottom end on my roadster

Why would Mesa design the recto around the larger cab loaded with V30's if they flubbed out? That doesn't make any sense. The larger cabinets PREVENT flub. They may be boomy yes but not flubby.

Tighten up the bottom end on my roadster

Tubescreamer is what most metal guys use to tighten rectos up.

Favorite Recto Tone on an Album?

Someone just announced on a public forum to liking Good Charlotte.

Triaxis not letting me run wet/dry? Is this normal?

The Boss Chorus Ensemble does this automatically if you use the stereo outs on the pedal - one side is 100% wet and other is completely dry.

    NAD Roadster with pics!

As for reverb, I think that's by design. Tweed mode on my Mark V drops the reverb to basically nothing, even with it maxed out.

    Chorus

Do you want thick (cheesy) chorus or subtle and transparent? If you want thick try anything by TC. For subtle the Boss CE-5 is perfect.

    Signal Vampire

That why they make GCX loop switchers.

Mk-IV Volume knob is very touchy

    Turn the channel master down.

Can someone explain the "Preset Depth" knobs?

It simulates the V curve of the graphic equalizer. This is to allow different GEQ settings per channel when you only have 1 GEQ. Most people I assume use the real GEQ for channe 3 and the preset knobs for channel 1 & 2.

Mk-IV Volume knob is very touchy

Same with mine. I have to lightly tap the volume knob hoping it turns a hair.
