Anyone tried it? What does it sound like? Does it considerably decrease the output power? THanks -D

    Chugga Chugga

G12k-100's from Celestion will get you MASSIVE low-end. You wont need EQ or any boost. Edit: A closed-back cab will also help lots. -D

    Rectoverb and DualRec same preamp?

I asked this on Harmony-Central but I'm not getting any answers.. I hope you guys can help me! Rectoverb's 2nd vs Dual Rec's 3rd channel? If you would slave both preamps to the same poweramp, would you get really similar or identical results? I just want to know if the single rec has the exact...

My wife is insane. NOW WITH PICTURES!!!

Physical aggression is a sign of extreme weakness and lack of self control. A weak disoriented person will go to great lenghts to try and establish a feeling of control and strenght by exhibiting exactly that type of behaviour. Basically she feels like you have the extreme upper hand in your...

    Single Recto power

If you have a proper speaker cab to go with it, it will be plenty loud. You'll even have plenty left on tap. I used a 65W solid state amp for a while, and my drummer would completely drown me even when I was cranked all the way (eww). Then when I got my 5150 2x12 combo, a 60W tube amp, my...

    Recto/Speaker Cab question

Using a Recto head, what would I expect in tone difference between: 1. 2x12 closed back with celestion G12k-100's and 2. 2x12 3/4 back with celestion G12k-100's The G12k-100's are a balance between G12T-75 and V30's. The reason why I ask is because I am building a speaker cab with those...

Roadster VS MArk IV which one (if same price)

I want a rectoverb. Ever since I played one (head through 412) I was simply amazed with the useable headroom and the surprisingly brutal gain. I could get some nicer crunchy leads out of the Pushed setting which sound better than the Rhythm channel on my 5150, and also get a wicked lead with the...

Roadster VS MArk IV which one (if same price)

Mark series for smoother leads, Recto for agressive tones. I've heard the roadster do some neat smooth leads, and agressive tones as well. Mark series can also do agressive tones, but recto does have a slight edge. Vice-versa for smooth leads. A lot of guys use a TS808 or ToneBone Hotbritish...

    The Mark IV thread....!!

Mark 4 has so many different settings, its mind boggling. My buddy spent a whole afternoon dialing a rhythm tone. Once he found something he really liked, he had to screw with the settings before writing them down and now he lost that sound, maybe forever lol... -D

    12ax7 russian-1 = sovtek 12ax7 russian-2 = EH I think 6L6 is sovtek as well. I've have best sounds with EH 12ax7's and SED 6L6 wing-C tipped. -D

need advice from MARKVI or DR owners

You're talking about the "Modern" setting right? Cause the Vintage and Pushed settings can definitely get creamy and tight (vintage) - and very articulated (pushed) -D
