    New Stiletto youtube video

How do the straight vs. Slant cabs differ other than the angle of the top speakers?

    New Stiletto youtube video

It is thin and shy of bass. I do think that the low quality of the recording device plays a small part, but it definately does lack some low end. I have read some other posts here on how the recto cab might add some low end, but I really don't see how it can be such a big difference since the...

    Mark V vs. Rectifier series

Thanks for the input everyone. I am new to the Mesa world, but learning everyday. Now that I am a new Mesa owner (Stiletto), I am hooked. My local Mesa dealer is backlogged on Mark V's, but as soon as he gets one in for stock, I'm gonna check it out. Thanks everyone!

    Mark V vs. Rectifier series

How does the tone of the Mark series differ from the rectifier series? I know that both are used extensively in metal and hard rock. I have studied the details on each amp series, and it seems that the Mark V is quite a bit more versatile. I have a Stiletto Deuce which works for a majority of...

    New Stiletto youtube video

Here is a new video I posted. I am playing a medley of Iron Maiden songs. My amp is a Deuce II paired with a Marshall 1960AV 4x12 cab (vintage 30 speakers). I'm looking for some feedback on the tone. I think the sound is good, but a little high pitched. I am considering getting a recto cab...

Stiletto Duece and Marshall 1960a slant cab???

I have a Marshall 1960AV, which is a basically a 1960a with Vintage 30's. I had it before I bought my deuce. It works ok, but it does seem to lack low end. It is very treblely. So, to all Stiletto owners. Should I get the Recto 4x12 or the Stiletto 4x12? Which one and why? I mainly play classic...

Any Stiletto owners use the Fulltone OCD or Xotic BB Preamp?

I'm looking at both of these pedals for a little boost plus to use as an overdrive. I need a little versatility since you can't footswitch between the modes. For example, I am playing rythym in the Tite Gain mode, but can't footswitch to Fluid Drive to solo. The Solo switch will give a volume...

Need help choosing a heavy metal effect pedal

Hi everyone. I have a few metal pedals I am interested in, and would like to see which one you all think would be best. Two of the three I cannot demo before purchase, since no one near me stocks them (Keeley and T-rex). Here are the three options I have narrowed down. 1. EHX Metal Muff 2...

Please help! My stiletto is dead!

Problem solved! It was my screw up the whole time. This is my first amp with an effects loop, and I had no idea that the amp would not work if there was no power to the effects. I had my power supply to the effects unplugged. When I started playing with the amp and switched the effect loop off...

Hmm. I tuned up before I made those. I use a Boss TU-2. I did miss a few notes though while playing. I had just got up and the coffee hadn't kicked in yet! Thanks for the feedback.

Please help! My stiletto is dead!

Hi everyone. My new Stiletto Deuce II was working just fine yesterday. This morning, I plug in to play and the volume is very low, and remains low even as I advance the output. I checked the guitar and cable, no probs there. This amp is just a few weeks old, and has never left the house or been...

    The Mark IV thread....!!

Hello everyone. I am new to the Mesa world. I was wondering how the sound of the Mark series compares to the Rectifier series. Is it the same high gain, grungy type distortion of the Rectifier? Or is it closer to a vintage Fender or Peavey type gain? I just bought a stiletto. It rocks! It...

    New Stiletto youtube video

Hello everyone. I have just recorded my first youtube videos. I plan on adding more stuff throughout the day. I am by no means a professional cameraman and am just an average guitar player, but the video will at least give people an idea how awesome the Stiletto is! Also check out my tricked out...

New Stiletto Deuce Owner! FX problem question.

I tried putting the NS-2 in the FX loop, but it didn't stop the noise coming from the guitar. Feedback from the strings is the main noise problem I have. I have a Gibson Les Paul Custom with 57 Classic Humbuckers and a 90's Fender American Strat with custom wound Seymour Duncan Hot Rails.

New Stiletto Deuce Owner! FX problem question.

Problem solved! I put the flanger and phaser in front of the amp. Thanks for the help! Here is the order of my set up now: Guitar-->Boss TU-2 Tuner-->Boss NS-2 Noise Supressor-->Amp The noise supressor has a send and return loop. Off of that, from send to return, is: Dunlop Original Cry Baby...

New Stiletto Deuce Owner! FX problem question.

I will try that. I just hope the chain of a few pedals wont degrade the tone of the amp.

New Stiletto Deuce Owner! FX problem question.

Hello everyone! I have finally procured my Mesa Stiletto Deuce Stage II head. In my opinion, it is the best sounding amp i have ever played. I am absolutely blown away. I am running the head into a new 4x12 Marshall 1960AV with Celestion Vintage 30's. I have played around with my pedal...
