    8 strings and dual recto

I believe its F?+B+E-A-D-G-B-E but varies a lot depending on the player. but that's the most common 8 string tuning.

    8 strings and dual recto

thanks! i already have a booster. so i can cover that. i tuned one of my 6 strings to 7 strings from low B to high B basically and i like the sound though i know its not made to do that but as i test it worked well. not sure how it would deal with even more bass haha

mesa boogie dual rectifier roadster "brown sound"

hey dude! depends on what kind of distortion you want, for metal i use gain at 3 o'clock, treble and bass and 3 too and mids at around 9. presence at noon. i also have it on diode instead of recto tracking. i dont like reverb too much i use delay so my reverb is all the way off. for normal rock...

    For the love of Mesa...

welcome proud mesa owner!! i got my dual recto roadster combo about 2 yrs ago now, after suffering for 3 yrs with a peavey bandit 112, gathering the 2k cash and one sore back after carrying the beast; turn it on and i was amazed (and still amazed) at what this amp can do!! i mean it makes the...

Can the Foot switch change my tone and drop volume??

+1 without the loop on. the problem is then put delay into the mix and stuff, but you just turn the fxloop off when not using the delay, and have the delay on all the time. that way you can just use it when you need it. :o

    mesa dual rec roadster stuff.

my DR roadster is a combo it comes a 2x12 with v30s, closed back! i love the push of this cab, makes the floor shake sometimes!! beside the V30s sound amazing! i would go with a 2x12 with v30 if i were you, either vertical or horizontal. although a vertical 2x12 cab sound interesting to try.

    Roadster volume question

On Spongy the volume is normally lower than on bold, if you run your amp mostly on bold the tube life is less than if you run it on spongy. have you tried checking the volume on each channel? maybe you should turn it up a little bit more

    Best Boost for Recto thread

I use a keeley modded TS9 drive 0, tone 7~8, lvl at 5. it works great for rythm distortion and metal distortion too, for solos i just use the solo footswitch and get rid of the ts9 while soloing i think it adds unwanted noice, but works great for rythm!

what makes a good lead/ solo tone?

hey thanks! finelly somebody answers!!! hehehe, i'll give it a try tonight and report back! i find that my lead tone improves without the TS9 since the TS9 makes the sound a bit more fuzzy.

where should the gain knob on my Recto be for playing metal

hey! i have recto roadster too, and i play mostly metal too, i usually run the gain n the 2 ~ 3 pm range, bass at around 12~1, treble around 1~2 pm and mid between 7~9 am. use the presence knob too i helps, try the presence at around 3 pm. i do run a tube screamer up front! makes everything...

what makes a good lead/ solo tone?

hey! i have a DR roadster combo, i love my riff tone/clean tones, but i can't seem to get the right set up for an awesome lead/solo sound. i use a tube screamer in front, and timefactor on the loop for extra flavour to the sound haha. anyone has any suggestions/pointers? i listen to a lot of...
