Hi, i have a dual recto 3 channels, i notice that when the amp doesnt' have the foot switch connected it sounds louder and i think even has better tone, ticker. same when i use the effect loop there is a change on tone even if it is a true bypass pedal in the loop, the amp sounds thinner (still sounds awesome but without the foot switch or effect loop sounds better) now is that possible or there is something wrong with the amp or maybe there is something wrong with me?? haha hey let me know if anyone has notice this and if there is a way to fix it. thanks

if you bypass the FX loop, then yes it can change your tone/volume because it is bypassing the FX circuitry. nothing to do with the footswitch though

+1. Bypassing the loop is sexy.

I've never heard of any footswitch negatively affecting tone. I'm not doubting you, but it doesn't even make any logical sense to me, as it's just relays that control functions/circuits already hardwired in the amp. See if you can get a store to let you borrow their footswitch to troubleshoot yours?

+1 without the loop on. the problem is then put delay into the mix and stuff, but you just turn the fxloop off when not using the delay, and have the delay on all the time. that way you can just use it when you need it.
