Hello hello! its been a long time since i post here.
I'm considering getting an 8 string guitar and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Dual recto roadster (or just DR) and 8 strings guitars? in terms of sound and bass and all that! what say you!?

Thanks in a advance.

Haven't tried an 8 string, but have tried a 7 string. Sounded killer, big, chunky.

Only thing that you might want to add is some type of boost pedal to tighten up the low end a little. Not to add distortion, just use it to tighten things up.

thanks! i already have a booster. so i can cover that. i tuned one of my 6 strings to 7 strings from low B to high B basically and i like the sound though i know its not made to do that but as i test it worked well. not sure how it would deal with even more bass haha

I believe its F?+B+E-A-D-G-B-E but varies a lot depending on the player. but that's the most common 8 string tuning.

I played an RGA8 with Blackouts through my Roadster for a couple months. It sounded sweet. I did have a EQ in the loop and also a BBE sonic maximiser, it sounded a little loose without them.

I was just about to post something similar to this....
I'm rockin the 8 string tuned to F and was wondering what would hold it better, my dual rec or 5150? Also heard stories of speakers and tubes giving out due to the super low bass.
Can anyone comment on this?
