I have a rockerverb and a roadster, there both very different beasts, the orange naturally has a british slightly harsher sound, its a very lively amp and feels really dynamic under the fingers if you get me, its fabulous to play although the clean channel is a bit pants but takes pedals well...

those IRW necks are stunning, a custom 22 or 24 with one is on my radar big time. The roadster/prs partnership sounds completely stunning imo. Hope you get sorted.

yeah an 2nd opinion A/B would be great, actually I'm now swinging towards a mesa 2 x 12 just for the fact I won't want to be chucking 50kg of orange cab around too often. like the prs btw, Im hoping to do a deal on a custom 22 or 24 this week, fingers crossed.

I like the voicing of the 6V6 based 50 watter, the 100 ships with EL34's but you can change them, plus Orange had a black 50 watter in stock, non stock colours are a minimum 6 week wait.

anyone any experience of these guitars, I heard they can be a bit bright, are they a good match with mesa amps? I mostly use les pauls currently and kinda like that type of tone.

I'm using a BB preamp on channel 2 (FAT) just to give it a little old school overdrive and an OCD set slightly hotter on the same Channel and 3 as well. I prefer the OCD I think, build quality is superb and absolutely no tone change, juries still out on the BB

I played the gamble that my roadster won't break down and recently bought it here in the UK as it was a fair bit cheaper than I could find in AUS, problem is when I move over in a few weeks the warranty will be invalid as mesa won't transfer to different countries.

that's superb, great choice, love the tobacco finish EBMM's, been drooling over a walnut burst BFR luke, hope to snag one if it comes my way.

thanks, I didn't know that, that would explain why some prefer one to the other, I assumed the only tonal difference would come from the cab construction
