Mark III power tube red plating

Hi, The outer right power tube of my Mark III starts red plating as soon as I take the amp off standby. It also affects the tube next to it, which will also start red plating a bit. Thought it was a faulty power tube. Ended up replacing both the power tubes and preamp tubes (they were due to...

What is this mod on my Mark III???

Hi, A couple of years ago I bought a fully loaded Mark III red stripe. It has some sort of mod done, of which the previous owner had no information and I never bothered to ask anyone. Awesome Mark III tone

Sounds great as a Metallica rhythm tone Sounds great as a Petrucci Lead tone with a little chorus and some delay. Reverb at about 4. I have it switched on Class A. I run 4 6L6 GC STR 430s. EDIT: 750hz may be pushed a little higher. Like just above the line.

    Mark III + GCX

Thanks! Yeah, it was more like an idea for the future (building a rack) plus the convenience of having one board with one cable on the stage instead of 2 seperate footswitches and 3 cables just for switching channels and an M9 with 2 cables. I'll look into the Rivera! Thanks bro.

    Mark III + GCX

Hi, I've been playing guitar for ages, but I am a total noob with MIDI. I wanna switch my Mark III red stripe DRG with a GCX (haven't bought it yet). I also have a tuner, a Bad Horsie and a Line 6 M9. So how's this going to work? Would it be like this? (stay with me here): Guitar -> Tuner ->...
