I have been getting a lot of requests to post these. I'll cut and paste from the HCAF posting. Let me know what you think!

I had a lot of requests for these 2 clips so I thought I would post them. I am not 100% happy with the Killswitch Engage mix but thought I would post it anyways. I recorded it twice: One with a clean boost on the rhythm and one without any boost whatsoever. I know they record their guitars in drop c but I didn't. My Schecter was tuned to 1/2 step down and then dropped. Keep in mind that all of these clips were recorded at very low volume. I've got to get my wife and kids out of the house!!

The Guns 'n Roses clip was a blast to record and thought the mix turned out pretty good. No boost was used at all. I wanked and improvised a solo so don't tear me apart too badly!!

Anyways, here you go!

HOLY CRAP

wow some of the tones in there on the killswitch songs are exact... like I honestly thought they were the original... I kinda liked the beginning, but overall VERY GOOD, **** man, excellent job, props to the max !!!!! Gives new breath to my mark IV :)

Awesome tone and playing bro....BUT WHERE ARE THE PINCH SQUEELS??????????? AHHHHHHHHHHHHH....sorry...had to ask..to me, besides KSE's awesome tone, that just adds so much to their style and songs...

I think the nonboosted version is closer to the original, the boosted one is just too much compressed but still sounds great.

Gibson...I really like the tones in your Killswitch clips. My only advice is on the mix...there is WAY too much overall compression going on. I can hear the mix breathing like a mofo when the drums start and stop. Specially in the little break part. I guess that's beside the point since the tones rock, but I think the overall sound could sound a bit more polished if you work on the compression a bit. 8)

I like the boosted KSE tone. I'm a big fan of KSE and your closer to their tone in the boosted version than the non boosted. Like others have said the compression needs a little work but its sounding pretty sweet as it is. Ive been working on getting KSE's tone out of my Rectoverb and I'm getting pretty close. Nice job on your tones though.
