Put a 5 band eq in an F-series head? It would be cool to have an F-30, F-50 or F-100 with the Boogie eq on board, wouldn't it?

cant, its parallell. youd have to throw it infront of the pre or
mod the fx loop to be series (not very hard actually).
as far as mesa modding factory designs, never heard talk about it.
i suppose it never hurts to ask....
let me know what you find out.

I've always thought the F series was a stripped down DC series, which used to have the graphic eq. Mesa had this feature and took it out.

Hey Mesa/Boogie guys - I've been a lurker for a while and just joined up.

It's my understanding that the "Contour" mode on the F series is an "equalizer" pre-set in the "mid scooped V" pattern that M/B puts in their old manuals as a "suggested setting".

yeah the contour ads in another preset eq into the signal path, and it
does sound a bit scooped, but i think thats cause they just boost the
lows and highs.
