So, I finally made a decision and put money down on the mark V and cabs. Now I gotta wait 8-10 weeks (says mesa).

It was a fun process figuring out what i wanted, thanks to those that helped.

I spent the money on cabs rather than a cool finish (i was really yearning for snakeskin) but i figured for price point having 2 different cabs would probably be more usefull than the leather. (i did get a custom color though)

i'll post pics and updates as i can

:) !!!

congradulations and be sure to put some pics up when you get it. you sound very excited!

you think your happy now just wait until you plug that baby in and let it rip!............BLISS

out of curiousity, which cabs?

i was gonna leave all the details till i got 'em,

but since you asked

head, express 23 1x12, recto vertical 2x12 (reason i didnt get snakeskin, i couldnt justify spending 900 to cover a cab that is barely bigger than the horizontal 2x12)

I thought about the roadking as a combo between those two cabs, but wanted a upright angled cab to hear it better on stage. so i figured those two cabs would allow for most tone options

express 23 since its matching to the head width, and has piping (purely asthetic choise over the open back widebody) The ported 1x12 was an option but i figured the recto would cover all the bottom end i needed.

been saving for this thing for well over a year, and wanting it since the rumours were out on the forum after the IV was discontinued (wanted a IV first)

Great decision, you will love the V! Post some pics when you get your new setup up and running, would love to see it!

Congrats on the order. I just placed one Thursday myself. Now for the wait. At least that will give me time to make room in the house.
