Im just wondering why you make music. I was speaking with a friend and we where talking about how frustrating it can be some times, I would like to here from the forum on this one.

Thanks

I really enjoy music (metal). If it happened that I could give up my job and go into music full time then that would be the icing on the cake.

Ciao ...

Would you play covers storm to make it a full time paying gig? Or is it all about the original stuff?

I play just for the love of it. Nothing feels better than when four or five people get in that same groove and bang out a kick *** song, even better when it is an original.

I have a good day job to support my expensive music habit, and the last thing I would want to do would be to make music my job, because then I would probably hate it like my job. (my central dogma here is ANYHTING sucks when you HAVE to do it.)

In spnal tap british accent : "I dont wanna play tonoight! I have a fooken headach"

I was in a jazz band thru college, and although we got paid pretty decent (for broke college students mind you), it kinda sucked playing at wine events with no one really listening to you.

Maybe it would be different if it made me rich and I could wipe my *** with live rabit fur and pick my three groupies every night, but then I would probably not have any time to practice.

Until then
...I play for me.

I love the feeling I have when I'm playing guitar, I'd like to be a professionnal musician in a band or something like that. But for the moment, it's only a passion and something that keeps me sane after french class!

I play music for the sex and drugs!...well... more for the drugs

:p

No, It's the only time when I can block out the world, when its me and the music. Because silence is my canvas!
