Bob Weir. I am a huge fan of his and The Grateful Dead. IMO, he is one of the most under-rated guitarists around right now. He's a great song writer and his work in The Dead has been a huge influence on my style.

I am also a big fan of Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, David Gilmour, and Dicky Betts.

when i think about it, even if i mention 2-3 guitar players, i like bands and not guitarists... all this solo's thing are really boring... music is about puting sounds together... i hate music when it's just about showing "what i can do", showing virtuosity etc... virtuosity must serve the song, as miles davis said : "virtuosity is not about playing thousand notes in a second, it's about playing the right one at the right moment"... that's why i mention rythm guitar player not soloist... if you wanna hear what i call "virtuosity serve song and music", well listen to battles, don caballero, sleeping people, oxes, stuff like that...
