Explain :D Deciding between the two, opting for the RK II but can't seem to find any at a reasonable price atm.

How are the cleans and reverb in the roadster compared to the rk2? I know the rk2 gas the lone star cleans

The Roadster is basically the same amp as the RKII, but without the extra added tube "Linkage" features. You can run either 6L6 OR EL34, not both like in the RKII.

That's the only difference......I LOVED my Roadster and would still own it if the dang thing wasn't so heavy.

At one point I had considered selling my RK1 to help fund a Roadster. The cleans are definately better.

What stopped me was the fact that I probably take more advantage of the Progressive linkage then I do of the cleans, and the cleans are still good on the RK1.

My setup is
CH1 four 6L6's in Clean
CH2 two EL34 in Brit
CH3 two EL34 in Vintage
CH4 all power tubes (two EL34 and and four 6L6) in brit.

I really like using the EL34.

But I got this RoadKing on a steal.

If I were saving some scratch to buy a new amp, I would go with the Roadster.
