Just got this amp and have discovered a disappointing anomoly. The 1 channel sounds very tinny. Have turned every knob on Channel 1 and there is little tonal difference. Channel 2 sounds great (clean even) as does Ch 3. I'd like to know what you think it could be. I did notice it still has Mesa Boogie tubes in it. That tells me they might be original which from the serial number (N45 - 00256) was made from '99 to '02. Pretty old for tubes.
So . . . whadaya think?

Both modes of channel 1 on my Nomad are good. You may want to swap the V2 preamp tube to see if it is at fault. In case you don't have a manual, I attached one to this post. The tube layouts are near the end of the manual
