What is the concern? Are you looking to buy an amp or do you own it? Are you trying to determine the type whether it is A or B? Look at the back panel. That will tell you 99% of the time whether it is A or B. If it is an attached cord it is definitely an earlier than current Mark IV. That is to say that it was before they went to the IEC style cord. All A's have attached cords unless modified. Some early B's may have an attached cord. I believe it was sometime mid 90's that the change was made. search the topics regarding A vs. B and you should find the material you are looking for.
