Having a non channel switching MarkI will make you get creative with the volume and tone knobs on the guitar, as well as the pickup selector and pick attack. It is a little more trouble to instantly switch tones, but I would never trade my MkI for any of the newer multi-channel amps. It can do the vintage sounds SOOOO well. Not the best amp for the bedroom volume crowd, though.
