Gidday from down under.
I have just purchased an incredible 5:25 and i absolutely love it.
Its been about 14 years since i last played live-at all really and everything seams to have changed....I'm playing at home until i can sharpen up my skills but am at a loss as to which effects to look at. My main guitar is a Strat plus but i also run a very rare Levin electric and an ovation acoustic . Style wise everthing from jazz to rock.

I've still got a myriad of Boss pedals but am looking for something more contained, maybe midi, with wah and a headphone socket for those late nights. And i would really love to keep the tone as it is.

Thanks for your help..
Dave

Effects should be suited to your style and musical needs...not your amp

Thanks Rocky...Understand that..
But having been out of the industry for 14 odd years I was just wanting a bit of help in regards to whats what with the hundreds of new things out there.
Having read the forums it would seem that there are few amps that don't agree with certain effects, either tonally or noise wise.
A shop will push whats in stock, so i was hoping for some unbiased information in relation to my individual situation.
I have read a few good reports in posts re the GSP1101 ..
How would that go in the send loop???
Would i expexct any problems with the midi??

Cheers

Have had great results with my 5:25 and both Boss GT-8 and ME-50 as "all in one" type of solutions. Big difference between the two is the GT-8 has extensive amp/cab modeling and MIDI. ME-50 is only an effects unit.

Have also found that the 5:25 takes pedals very well. Right now using:

MoFaux --> COT --> Eternity in front

Analogman Chorus --> Retro-Sonic Phaser --> Maxon Flanger --> Echo Park --> Chili Picoso in the effects loop.

Incredibly versatile amp.
