I got my Weber Bias Rite. Worked out pretty good. I've never checked
an amps bias before. Anyways, it is a 50 watt 2X12 combo with JJ EL34L's.
If I did my math right it is running at about 83% of Max Plate Voltage.
Guess I'll be adjusting that down a little. I wonder if the person before me
biased it thinking that JJ El34L's are a 30 watt tube. Because using 30 watts
in the calculation it is right on. Quick question, is it necessary or better to
use a fresh preamp tube in the phase inverter before biasing?

Some will say that the PI does a lot, but I really hvent found any difference in a guitar amp. As far a checking the bias it shouldn't make a difference.
