Hi all, I've just bought a pristine Mark 1 in hardwood, serial A204, which I understand means it was around the 204th 1x12 Boogie made (allowing for the fact that they weren't completed in precise sequence). I'm wondering what the earliest hardwood boogies were. I've read an interview with Randall Smith where he says that he began making hardwood cabinets when he just couldn't stand the glues used on the tolex anymore, so can I assume that there are no hardwoods with really low serial numbers? Does anyone know what percentage of the very early Boogies were hardwood?
