What speaker would be a good match for my Studio Pre?

I am going to order a custom 1x12 cab from Avatar to use with my Studio Preamp and I am looking to keep the boogie sound. Of course I could just go with the Vintage 30 like everyone else, but does anyone else have a recommendation besides the V30 that would go great with a Studio Pre? (If you are using a Mesa Mark amp in general, the Studio Pre is based on them.)

What speakers did those 80's Mark combo's come with? Would hunting down one of them be a good idea?

Grab a Thiele off Ebay. You can get them with an EVM for less than $300.

start with an eminence wizard. if you don't like it, try and find a good deal on a thiele cab, take the EVM out, sell it and put the wizard in. Or try one of the oversized port city 1X12 cabs and stick the wizard in there.

I mention the wizard becuase it handles all generes amazingly well, it's loud, tight, clear and very effecient.
