what pre amp tubes sound the best in a c+?

what current production 12ax7's are you guys running in your c+'s?

i like tung sols in my mark IV, but i'm thinking they might be too bright for the c+.
what do you guys think?

They came from the factory, believe it or not, with Ei 12AX7's and sounded superb.
Good luck finding good Ei's today. The closest I have gotten is RFT ECC83's. Like the Ei
they are not bright or harsh. If your into metal, I would use all Ruby/Shuguang 12AX7C's with
a High grade for V1, V3 and V4.
