What power tube config do you use in your Mark IV ???

Why do you like your configuration so much?

It's the only configuration I have tried (haven't had the amp very long).

I have tried bad 6L6 and good EL34 I still preferred 6L6.
So I got 4 really good 6L6 SED=C=. That is the best.
I think most Mesas are really designed around 6L6 in mind not EL34.
EL34 is added as a verity.

I have tried 6L6's, 6L6/EL34 combo, 5881's, and my favorites are the 6V6's. The 5881's are are a close second though..... 8)

Hey Tom,

Was that you that bought the 420 set on e-bay recently? I think I remember seeing something about asking about shipping out to Australia. Then there was another set right after that being sold from Australia. I was sitting here thinking... Man, he's on a roll.

yeah i bought one quad from the us .. and i didn't get those ones from here becasue they where use for alittle while ..I want New..

but i have bought 5 pairs now..one pair of coke bottles and 4 straights..the only think is one of the coke botles is new and the other is just about dead.. and i have a gray and a green in anotther box..but they are new...

such good tubes.. the best clean i have ever heard was my mk III with a quad of these in and my strat.. So so so so good..

what happen to you and dual recto? did you get it or did the sale fall ?
