Hi,

I am thinking about buying a Lonestar 100/50W combo. I wish it had the 10W option but it doesn't.

Someone noted that there was a Yellow Jacket option that would allow the amp to operate at lower volumes to get the tube overdrive sound.

Can someone please explain this to me and how much it might cost?

Thanks

Yellow Jackets are tube adaptors, made by THD electronics, that allow you to substitute a EL-84 for a 6l6. The swap essentially makes your former 100w amp about 35 watts. The EL-84's will change the tone of the amp a bit. It will probably sound more like a LSS.
