I saw one (rack mount head) at the Sam Ash in Westminster, CA. They want an awful lot for it, but its been sitting there for a long time. You may be able to talk them down.....

Thanks for all of the leads, but I've been sidetracked with a rack project, or should I say science project... I'm going to put off the stereo idea for a while.
