Want to get a Diamond face plate for a Road King

hi

i have a series 1 RK with the stock face plate and wanted to change up the look a bit with a diamond face plate. i contacted MB but they said a face plate would be $219 which is way more than i want to spend for cosmetics.

so does anyone have any ideas about where i can find a diamond plate (doesn't have to be "official") for my road king?? thanks for any help.

The replacement we offer is not simply the diamond plate, but rather then entire front panel, built to be a complete replacement for the jute panel that you currently have. Best of luck in your search!

That doesn't sound right. I ordered a whole new head shell include the diamond plate for my triple rec for $299.

That doesn't sound right. I ordered a whole new head shell include the diamond plate for my triple rec for $299.

Not sure when you ordered this, but that is no longer a current price for a Triple Rec head cabinet (which does include diamond plate as Standard Dress). For the Road King, Standard Dress is a Jute grille, so the replacement grille carries an upcharge for the diamond plate option. Thanks!

yeah someone told me they got a face plate only for around $50. that's all i need of course (the metal front) since i have the rest of the head cabinet. i don't really understand why i can't just buy that part only, and for a reasonable price, from mesa but what can i do...

it's like i'm being punished for not knowing i could have ordered the amp that way years ago when i bought it! :lol:

in the interest of helping anyone else looking for a wallet friendly way to spruce up their amp you can get diamond tread plate locally or online for pretty cheap. most places will cut it to size for a nominal fee and you can get everything you need for well under $50!! an easy and cost effective solution!

just google "polished diamond plate" or "diamond plate" to find the place you want to order from and you're all set!
