just my luck,....no Fulltone Clyde Deluxe dealer in sacramento (the left armpit of california,...fresno is the right armpit).

Looks like im driving to san fran or just north there of.

:(
Check out Tone Mercahnts in Orange CA. They have them in stock and have impeccable customer service.... Get my stuff from them mostly.

I've been real happy with my HBE Medicine Bawl wah. It is more traditional sounding and not as pronounced as some of the others mentioned, but the FCD is very nice too. I may get one too and alternate.

The Fulltone stuff is great, I love it...But my wah of choice is the Bud-Wah from Budda amplification...Incredible wah pedal and built like a tank...By far, the most vocal like wah I've ever heard...But, tis subjective, just my 2 cents.

Crybaby 535Q.. you can change frequency and sound. It also has a boost. It's basically the same as the Dimebag Wah but not in a stupid camo color and its less money.

As usual, i hate signiture gear, but the Tremonti (Morley) is awsome feels great, works with mesa as if it where designed to.

I have played a dunlop crybaby from hell over the weekend and its okay, the Tremonti smashes it to bits though.

I use the the Morley pro series II wah, and I get almost no sweep out of it. I've been Eyeing those vinatge Morley Power Wah Boost pedals from the 70's (PWB) usually go for ~130-150.00 used on the BAY; I hear they have a killer sweep, anoyone try those? Or believe their wah is better?

Try either the Dunlop 535Q or a RMC 3!!! Depends on what you want to spend. RMC 3 is the best Wah IMO. So many settings for this thing!!

It's great!!!

I used to use the Morley Bad Horsie II...but it only lasted me a couple of years before it went out on me. I then went with my first instinct...something I should have done in the first place, and got the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah. Excellent, wonderful, terriffic...you name the adjective. It has that "vocal" sound you want (whacked) the industry standard sound, (Jimi) and the Shaft/70's cop show/porno sound (shaft)

I challenge anyone to find a better sounding wah...
RB

Can't put out that challenge! No one would be stupid or naive enough to accept it. Not against a Fulltone Wah.

Unfortunately, I'm sure there will be many who'll say I'm wrong, wrong, wrong....Maybe I should amend the challenge....Find a better sounding wah in a BLIND a/b/c/d test!

I recently acquired a Silver Machine Wah and I love it. It is so adjustable. I can get traditional sounds as well as modern "Petrucci" and "Vai" sounds with it. I a/b 'd with a Fulltone Clyde deluxe and the silver machine was more to my liking. Unfortunately, it is also about 20.00 more than a Fulltone which is already expensive. Anyway, that's another on to try. BTW anyone interested in a HBE Medicine Bawl Wah? $100.00 shipped anywhere in the cont. US..... 8)

I use a Vox Clyde Mccoy reissue that I had www.analogman.com install an LED and a power jack to. I love this pedal...blows my Morley Bad Horsie to bits. For the money, though, I would be checking the aforementioned Teese wahs. I have read alot about them and would buy one if I already did not have the Vox. The Vox is $159 so the Teese is not too much more money.

I Own and use a RMC3-LE with a foxrox wah retrofit,All the wah's i want in just one pedal... :D

Wah's are kind of a pesonal thing. I think it depends upon what you are playing and how you are using it too. I have had: a classic crybaby (back when it wasn't classic yet), a vox (also back before it was classic), and a ZW. I don't use it much but sometimes it is fun. I prefer fasel inductors. I also like to set it and leave it on sometimes. The vox was pretty classic old-school sounding. The crybaby was more general purpose. The ZW is ok but it is very tailored for a specific sound. My best advice is to go out and play them all. Once you find some you like get someone to help you to blind test them as was mentioned earlier. For the ones you can't get out to play (like boutique or BYOC) you might buy a used unit and try it out so that you can always sell it and not lose anything in the resale.
