After going through a couple of wahs, I still have not found a decent Wah pedal. I am looking for a wah that is very vocal, one that when you turn it on you really get your moneys worth. Any suggestions or comments would be very helpful.

As usual, i hate signiture gear, but the Tremonti (Morley) is awsome feels great, works with mesa as if it where designed to.

I have played a dunlop crybaby from hell over the weekend and its okay, the Tremonti smashes it to bits though.

I used to use the Morley Bad Horsie II...but it only lasted me a couple of years before it went out on me. I then went with my first instinct...something I should have done in the first place, and got the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah. Excellent, wonderful, terriffic...you name the adjective. It has that "vocal" sound you want (whacked) the industry standard sound, (Jimi) and the Shaft/70's cop show/porno sound (shaft)

I challenge anyone to find a better sounding wah...A/B compare this in a blind test against anything out there, and I think you'll love it.

I second the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe. It's pretty expensive, but totally worth it. True-Bypass, 3 modes, 10 step adjustable gain, hand-wired in USA, and built to last!

I think it sounds great on both clean and distortion. The 5 year warranty is nice too, just in case something would happen to go wrong.

I looked around but i can't find any guitar stores that have the clyde for me to try out. Did you try it out, or just order it from Fulltone?[/b]

I got my Clyde Deluxe from Waterman guitars on ebay. Good BIN price, and they delivered fast. Bought it without hearing it, just from the sounds I remembered playing thru a regular Clyde a couple years ago....

I've got the original Fulltone Clyde, the one without the outside knobs. Its base sound is patterned after a vintage Vox, but it has an internal trim pot that lets you adjust the sound response. I notched mine up a little bit, and I get a sound that's a little sharper on the top end than a traditional Vox. I love it. The Clyde is a desert island pedal for me.

Also use the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe in front of my Lonestar Classic...

If you turn the inner trim pot counter clockwise to 2 PM,
it takes some of the grit out of the pedal according to
the inventor, Mike Fuller... & vice versa, if you turn the trim pot
clockwise you can add more gain & volume to the tone...

When I first got the pedal I thought it to be a bit too gritty
for my tastes, but after making this simple adjustment
(has a slot for a flathead screwdriver...) it cleaned up
& worked much better for my purposes ...

When cleaned up, the sweep is more wah like
then growling (if that makes sense... :? )

I recently got the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe and I'm stoked. I also have the Dime CFH and its awesome too. For me the Clyde is better for what I do now. It sounds less digital than the CFH and has more sweep. Its a very vocal and fun as hell to play.Try one out if you can I doubt you'll be dissappointed. Thanks Red for your posts on it and I fully agree. So now I got the Clyde, Fulldrive, and OCD. Whats next? Choralflange? I need to change gears and slow down!! I might be addicted to Fulltone...

Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Here also

Whats next? The Fulltone GT-500!

I know! An inductor based mids eq... sounds pretty sweet. I wonder what it could do to my RKII.

Ok sry for the hijack

The bad horsie 1 is better than the 2. The 2 adds some gain and grit to the sound. unlike the 2 the 1 is really smooth and creamy. Keeps things unharse and really mouth opening

just my luck,....no Fulltone Clyde Deluxe dealer in sacramento (the left armpit of california,...fresno is the right armpit).

Looks like im driving to san fran or just north there of.

:(
