V30=POO, farty honking midrange, bitter highs, great low end

I've heard these speakers sound good in an 'X postion' with G12-75s in a 4x12. Any truth in this?

Yeah, what's the deal with "X" configuration?? I've read a few posts on here that have suggested that.
I have a SOLO 50 going through a Marshall MG4X12, and I have been pondering the V30 "X" modification to my cabinet.

...then do you mic the V30 at a gig??

I believe the X config is (correct me if I'm wrong) Top left, v30...top right, G12-75...bottom left G12-75, bottom right, V30

Correct. It's my favorite combo. They compliment each other very well.
