Possibly next weekend (3rd weekend in July '10, for those who read this in the future),
I will be getting together with at least 1 forum member of another site to do some amp testing/recordings/videos possibly as well here in the L.A. area.
Amps that are going to be put through the ringer...
Diezel Herbert
Diezel VH4
Marshall JCM800KK
Marshall Vintage Modern
Mesa 3ch. Recto (if I still have it)
Mesa 2ch Recto, a Pre-500 model
Mesa Mark V
Splawn Quickrod
Jet City JCA100H
Hughes and Kettner Trilogy
and possibly some rack gear, such as ADA MP-1 3TM (3 tube modded) and Marshall EL34 100/100, Rocktron ProG.A.P., etc...
Recently sold my Triaxis, 2:90, and Jmp-1, so can't do those at the moment anymore.
A lot of amps.
Most likely I will try to do the same as I have done in my other comparison clips, with keeping the mic'ing the same, using the same cab, and trying to dial in somewhat similar tones, if possible.
Anyone with an Einstein or Schmidt or SLO or VHT or other high end amp want to join in the fun? PM me and we can talk about it.
for now...
