the mark IIb (i think) i have is a 55watt combo with TWO 6L6's (yes two) and 5 12AX7s... dont most mark2's have 4 6l6's?
blonde rhino vinyl cover, brownish grille cloth. has the switchable eq.
slave, effects loop, ground switch, reverb and prescence on back.
50 watt Mesa/Boogie "vintage black shadow" speaker it says (vs-12 8 ohm) - i think that may be an aftermarket mod

controls across the board are as follows:
input jack
footpedal jack
VOLUME 1 (pull bright)
TREBLE (pull shift)
BASS
MIDDLE
MASTER 1 (pull gain boost)
LEAD DRIVE (pull lead)
LEAD MASTER (pull bright)
5-band eq
eq in/out switch
standby/on switch
on/off switch

serial number is: 10937

ANY help would be appreciatd.. its in GREAT shape.. what is it worth? and what year/model is it?

Nothing special...but an awesome amp. I have 3 Mark IIB's including a 60 watt head much like yours w/ Graphic and Verb. I love my Mark IIB's almost as much as my IIC+ and much more than my Mark IV

Great amps

here's mine!

'81, 60 watts, no reverb.

whatever you can get for it!!

LOL

i paid $750 for mine new, in '81.

(head only)

i think it's worth way more than that now, but i don't have any body beating down my door to own it..........!

;)

i cannot find another amp anywhere, that sounds like it, or feels like it.

surely none of the new boogie models do....

so, it'd have to be someone that was looking for a specific feel and tone, who understands what these things can do, and i don't know how you put a price on that.

what does EBAY tell you?

Cool some Mark II members.

Yeah, I tried a Mark III and Mark IV, two very versatile amps, but I stayed with my Mark II.

I have This amp with the post effects level mod.
Ive been playing for over 30yrs. and found my sound with this one.

I also have one with the post effects level mod. There must be something special this mod does to the tone of the IIB because it sounds just amazing! When I first plugged into it I knew in the first 5 secs that it was a keeper.

which mod is that? is that the one with the volume pedal in the effects loop?

what speaker and how many watts was the original in these 55watt combos?
