UK price of 2x12 LSC £1799 ($3,065.89 USD ) !!

So after a great deal of time spent buying & replacing pre amp tubes that keep crapping out, then spending even more time recently trying to improve my somewhat absent reverb, I now find after having used the FX loop hooked up for a while. when I removed the loop I am getting the sudden slight volume drops, presumably due to poor/dirty contacts on the input switches. ( I'm sick of cleaning them ).
I just dare not gig this amp... Its never been out of the studio/spare room, even though it will soon be a year since purchase, I have reported these problems and returned it to point of sale once already, only to be told

''we changed a pre amp valve and its all fine now,
we've had it on test for 48hrs. brayed it with everything maxed out, nearly made our ears bleed, and its OK'' .............. NICE !

Since then its been one thing after another... I am not confident in the amp at all.. (and frankly I have even less confidence in the dealer..!)
When it works it sounds fine, I love the amps tone & flexibility etc.. but this particular amp is a bit of a lemon/friday afternoon job etc etc
Its not amusing is it ?.. paying the UK price of £1799.00 ( $3.065.89 ) and not feeling the amp is reliable enough to gig !!!

I am negotiating with my dealer for a new 'boxed' replacement.

Man that is not good! Have you spoken to Westside Distribution? I am currently sending my reverb back to them as you may remember from the other post about non existentt reverb etc

They have all been pretty helpful although the actual dealer I got it from was not any help at all.

Let me know how it all pans out and I will keep you informed of how my situation progresses too.

If it's ok at the dealer, but not at your home, have you considered that maybe it's the power feeding your amp? If you're going to spend that kind of money on an instrument (and yes, I will argue the point that an amplifier IS an instrument) then why not do everything you can to protect it? Get a good power conditioner and see if that helps your reliability issues.

Its definately not the condition of the power supply. I checked that out ages ago, I have used many valve amps over the years, this particular amp is definately problematic. It has a suspect reverb, wanders off settings and blows pre amp valves irrespective of where I use it. It probably wasn't OK at the dealers at all in my opinion, I think they just did what I have always done and changed the pre amp valve, if Im lucky it will work fine for a few days before somethine else happens, its not even the same pre amp valve that goes...most often V1 & V3.... And if the dealer was 'OK' he would show more respect for a customers property than he did. I understand he needed to test it but 48 hrs being brayed with everything maxed out sounds more like abuse. It sounds great when its working well, but them another problem will occur ... volume drops relating to the loop input switches, ( we shouldnt have to put patch leads in or by-pass it )... its not a budget amp !
I just think we are all entitled to a level of reliability that you would feel confident giging it with your usual spare valves for the ODD expected failure.. not the REGULAR expected one ... Great Amp's... but this one has issues.
