So this is the first problem I've had with the amp in 7 years. It did this once at rehearsal a few weeks ago then it did it in the middle of a show tonight:

At random (it worked fine through the whole set until the last song) it got stuck on the orange channel, and I had to disconnect the cable and switch manually(in the middle of the song). If it's broken, I'll get it fixed. I'm just curious if anyone here has any experience with this.

Hey Frankie,

After 7 years, the button may be worn out or dirty.
Take the 4 screws off the back and spray some contact cleaner in the
switch ( Theres a slot on the flat side) then tap it a few times to clean the contacts. I has the same problem with the old DR footswitch. While your in there, clean the input jack contacts. They get dirty and oxidized too and may be giving you a bad connection. Check your cable too !!!

If that does not work, try to find another tip to ground single button switch to be sure that its the real problem. If the cleaned footswitch works, great. If it does not, just replace the Carling 110P stomp switch instead of buying a new unit for $60.00. You can buy the switch and solder it in in 5 minutes. It's really simple. Theres just buss wire, a switch, an LED and a resistor. Use a heat sink on the resistor and LED.

Good Luck.

Thanks BB.

I think I've ruled out cables at this point, and I looked inside the pedal and it looked clean (i know that doesn't mean that it IS clean, lol) I'm going to clean it on tuesday after rehearsal. The really hard thing is I cannot recreate the problem, every time I try it works. So it's hard to rule anything in or out, aside from cables, at this point. It should also be noted that I use some right angle adapters on pedals, including the footswitch in question. I should probably invest in some right angle to straight 1/4" cables and can those adapters. I'll let you know what happens. I just hope it's not the footswitching mechanism in my head that's acting up.
