In mono. id like to hook up two orange 16ohm 412 cabs to my amp head. i see a 16ohm jack.. an 8 ohm jack and two four ohm jacks. since there isnt 2 8ohms, would i hook these two cabs up by the two 4 ohm jacks? wouldnt that.. not sound right? :?

Refer to the section of your manual regarding impendence (starting at page 27) for further information, including a diagram on page 31 of your situation.

well it says i can divide up 8 ohms to two 16 ohms. but whats a parallel box?

I don't need one myself, but I bet it a part you might be able to get from Radio Shack.

You can indeed run the two 16's into the 4 Ohm jacks. And you will hear a sound difference. I don’t remember what it is, but someone here will be able to say. They might even know if using the box reduces the tonal change (something I’ve wondered). If it doesn’t really do anything beneficial I’d skip it (reduce parts of the signal chain).

It sounds like most people having an impedance mismatch generally just compensate for it via the amps jacks.

Ps – tks for reading the manual. Your already way ahead of a lot of people.

could i get some sort of link to where i can get this parallel box or something?
