Well for metal would having the presence knob set to 12 O'clock on the amp, not suck out some of the low end coming from the amp?

Dude, turn it until you want to stop turning it. There's no secret setting that everybody knows about except you. Honest. The knob does the same thing on all of our amps. Do you also need to ask people when they think you should stop eating?

What do you want us to tell you, really? "Turn it two quarters and three micrometers. Everything but this setting sounds terrible and shame on you for using anything else."

Nobody on this board plays like you do, has your specific guitar, your specific amplifier with your specific tubes, pots, and thensome. You make all of these posts asking where you should put your knobs and get upset with the amplifier when you don't like what we tell you.

But guess what? It's not the amplifier, and it's not us.

Stop creating all of these preconceived notions about where your knobs should be set, turn the knobs, and play your **** amp. This forum has probably done you more harm than good in dialing your tone. It seems like you're almost scared to turn a knob to a place where other people don't always turn it.

Still don't like it?
