Just tried out a TungSol 12AX7 RI in my DC-2 and what a difference!!! :shock:
Had the amp to the shop back in November and they replaced the V1 tube w/ a JJ. Well, it sounded OK, but not any better than that...just kind of lackluster. I had 1 of the Tung Sols left from my Ace so I popped that in there and it sounded SOOO much better. Much rounder and richer overall...I'm pretty happy with the sound now; I think it's a keeper in V1. :mrgreen:
