Tube advice

Just wanted to check who everyone is going through for replacement Tubes.
I have a Rackmount Dual Rectifier.
I looked at Eurotubes, Doug's and a few other sites.
Who have you had good and bad luck with?
Any advice on installing different pre amp tubes as on Doug's page or all the same brand as on Eurotubes?
I am looking for Super high gain.
I am getting quite a bit of unwanted feedback so I am guessing it's time to replace the Tubes.

Tubes are like steaks...everyone likes theirs a little different.

I've had good experiences with JJ tubes, especially their E34Ls. Their 6L6s are decent too.

I find their preamp tubes to be a tad too dark for me, but they do seem to have more gain than most.

The part about using different brand tubes in various positions is good advice. Different brands of tubes sound different, so in some spots they accent certain tonal characteristics better than in others.

I prefer a NOS Mullard in V1, then a NOS RCA in V2, JJs in V3 and V4, then a Chinese in V5.
