TS9, Maxon 808, OCD?

Been looking for a OD pedal lately. I play hardcore punk (American Nightmare, Bars, Carry On) type stuff and play indie style music also.

I want something that will tighten up the Dual and Deuce. But also give me a good OD sound on the clean channels.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've read through a lot of posts but if you play the similar styles I listed it would be more helpful.

I would recommend an Analogman 'Silver' modded Maxon OD-9
Think 'ideal' Tube Screamer, with true bypass.

My Maxon OD808 sounded almost identical to my Analogman modded TS-9 reissue. The OCD is very cool OD but if you want classic Tubescreamer I'd go OD808.

The Maxon OD808 sounds fantastic, and can often be had for only very slightly more than you'd pay for an Ibanez TS9 reissue.

How is the Maxon OD 808 on a clean channel? Will it get me a OD sound such as Minus the bear?
