I currently have a dual rec roadster and am in the market for a new head. I have the opportunity to get a reborn triple rec at a great price, though I had my eye on a reborn dual rec to use for a backup. I've also got the opportunity to get another roadster at a reasonable price. I'm quite familiar with the dual rec series but have little experience with the triple recs. Any trip rec users out there? I know there's more headroom and 50 more watts, but is the sound pretty much the same as the duals? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely the Triple (especially since you already have a Roadster). It was out of complete ignorance on my part that I looked past the Triple Rectos for so long. I always figured 100 watts would be more than enough. Then, I got one. The added headroom provides unbelievable tightness, bottom end, and the clean tones are punchy, powerful, and sparkly. I've had two channel and three channel Dual Recs, a Roadster, and now a Triple Rec...and the Triple, for my style, is definitely my favorite.

Thanks for the input. Tried the triple and tho it sounded great, it was just a bit much to open it up for that sweet spot. I ended up with the dual. I got the special blacked out version. No it doesn't make it sound any better, but it sure looks cool with the black diamond plate and knobs!
