hi new to the board but need help , have a exstensive rack and pro questioning my hook up heres the set up triaxis, isp decimeter, rane 31 band midi programable eq.tc electronic g major, lexicon jam man using delay only , bbe 482i maximizer, mesa 290 , tp voodoo ground control midi fulltone deluxe wah and on the board with the grd control 2 switches for jam man . My problem is brittle sound and high gain sounds . triaxis re tubed with high gain and 290 re tubed with 6l6's and el 34's now don't get me wrong sounds are killer but gain and eq just not right for shred sounds hook up is this wireless samson bug starts wireless to fulltone wah then back to triaxis , to decimeter, then stereo outs of triaxis to rane midi eq then to tc electronic g major to lexicon to bbe then to 290 should the eq be in triaxis loop or in with decimeter before? advise but i am rewiring tomorrow thanks should effects also be in loop ?

The first question is, do you like the sound of your Triaxis patches with everything else disconnected?

Assuming you do, I would start with a bare Triaxis and poweramp, then add one component at a time and see if you can work out if one unit os responsible for your tone drain. I would use the FX loop, but you don't have to. Just make sure your effects are in the appropriate positions. ie. wah before preamp, EQ, G-major, Lexicon in loop, or post-send.

You need to approach this scientifically and eliminate uncertainty. Hooking everything up together makes this very hard. Let us know what you discover.

ando is right! with that setup you should not being having problems with shrillness or brittle sounds......the triaxis is a very creamy sounding amp to my ears......especially to other amps like a marshall.

I concur as well. Need to know the triaxis prior to hooking other stuff to it.
Heck, I am just getting the plumbing right with mine after trial and error,
and I have no where near what you have in mind in using in the signal chain.
