hi,

I have a huge problem with my triaxis.
when I start playing all seems normal, bur after a while the triaxis starts automatically switching thru channels. somestimes slow (30s pause) sometimes just switches thru the programs upwards like a counter.
I disconected already all midi euipment from the triaxis - nothing changed.
Is the switching circuit maybe somehow driven by a tube ? Maybe tube failure? any ideas ? need the amp on a gig soon, but like this I can forget about using it, so need ideas....please, urgent

best regards
Frank

The processor is all solid-state. The tubes are for audio only.

You either have a processor problem or a power supply problem (digital supply may be too low, resetting the processor).

This is not going to be an easy fix. Sorry. Send it to Mesa.

One thing to try is to open it up and clean and reseat the ribbon cable connectors. The unit may be getting an accidental signal from them to index.

Perform the following test:

1. Press the "Channel" key
2. Change the value from "1" to "10"

Does the problem go away or happen a lot less frequently? If so, you might have a bad 6N139 MIDI optocoupler, all you have to do is replace it like I've described in my post in this thread:
