triaxis malfunctioning and stuck

my buddy's triaxis may have been hit with an electrical surge from a storm.

It powers up but you cannot change modes.......and when you play thru the mode it is stuck in the sound is massively distorted and clipping.

any ideas or have any of you dealt with something like this before?

Well, there are many possibilities - Occasionally the ribbon cable pins can become oxidized and a thorough cleaning can help. However - if it was indeed an electrical storm and suffered a voltage spike, it could have burned up one or more components inside the amp. I would highly recommend contacting our service manager here at the factory for a Return Authorization for repair. Thanks!
