hi guys, can any of you gurus give me any advice on what may be the cause/cure for the following problem...
on ANY mode within LD2 i have recently been getting plauged with masses of background hiss, crackling and intereferance. The guitar tone seems unaffected, but the noise is so bad that even my noise gate (Alesis 3630) cannot hide it. Also it makes recording whether from the cab or the recording outs completely non viable. I revalved the Tri recently (and the 295 poweramp-which has also been recently serviced) and had no problems until the other day.
Strange thing though-if i raise the gain to 10 on any patch that uses a LD2 mode, the noise stops immediately..but of course gives me an undesirable tone. LD1 and Rh channels seem unaffected.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated..is it worth spraying some switch cleaner in there etc??
