It is voiced like the old Marshall / Hiwatt / Orange sounds. Plexi ~ 800 kind of range. Does not sound near as good as a good sounding old amp. I believe the Recto is a improvement myself. I owned one of the first ones (payed for it over a year before it was released) I had it till it was stole in 97 .... 6/7 years. I did not use these sounds a lot because I had old Marshall's then. I also had a JMP 1 in my rack the last two years and it sounded much better for those kind of tones ...

I recently purchased a "brand new" Triaxis that has the Recto LD1 Red and I also have found that I really don't use that mode at all. I have found I really don't use any of the LD1 tones, yet. Can Mesa or some other pro out there modify the LD1 Red Recto board and give it a REALLY GOOD "Marshall Plexi" type of tone without changing anything else in the Triaxis - I like the RHY and LD2 tones. I would even go as far as changing all the LD1 tones to "Marshally" type tones if that's what it would take to accomplish the task. If this is possible then I can add the Plexi tone to the arsenal all in one box, now that would be REALLY cool!!!

I've found all LD1 modes useless until Timbre Wolf give me some good advices about tubes. See the post about retubing a triaxis, very usefull.
I like LD1 very much now !

Thanks for the information, I'll go look it up.

I ready to try and do some retubing of my Triaxis. Where is a really good reputable place to purchase tubes either online or over the phone? Somewhere in the mid-west would be preferable but not absolutely necessary.

I have had very good experience with Tube Depot. They are in Tennesee.
Also a friend has used Tubestore and he likes them, too. Tube Depot has a great deal on shipping and, as a result, have had the best prices, overall, IMO. :D
