Hi all,
This is my first post here, looks like a pretty cool forum.

Anyhow, I have a Triaxis, G-Force and a 2:90 going to 2, 3/4 enclosed cabs.

I play in a Floyd tribute band, well one of my bands and I have been finding lately that despite having plenty of volume I seem to get lost in the mix quite a bit.

Lately I have tried using full power for my clean sounds and half for my lead sounds with the master jacked up a bit to drive things along.

I have been playing for years and also have an old MK3 which is great, actually I think it sounds better in some respects....any ideas on how I can cut through a bit better, I am open for any suggestions.

I think the best start would be to post the settings you use that don't cut through. Don't forget to post the master volume dial and ampflier settings.

It's mostly my lead tones , inparticular lead red. I'll take a look when I get home form work at the settings.

I find I have this problem but i can put it down the the fact that i like round warm lead tones and our bass player uses a 1600watt valve ampeg set up that drowns out my lower end..I'll have to brighten up my lead.. my rythm is quite bright so no prob there..

Your Dynamic Voice may be up too high. I had mine at 8 and had the same problem. I had to cut it back to 5. Often, what sounds cool by itself, gets lost in the mix of the band.

That's a good point..i run my dv at zero on lead and about 2--4 on clean..

There are band clips on myspace if you do a search for Gilmours Breakfast. They are pretty rough though I think, you know how it is, someone with a video phone takes a clip and bingo there you are !..I'm the guy with the Scotland T-shirt on.

There's a video clip of Hey You and you can actually hear the solo fairly well ironicly and I wasn't mic'd up it was just back line.

I will take a look at the DV settings on my lead, I think they are at around 5 or 6 maybe ?

The other complaint I get is that my sound is too directional ?...I have never noticed this or been told this before....I have a lot of work to do I think but it's so **** time consuming, then like has been said, you turn up to play and it's suddenly different !!
