One of the reasons I was interested in the reissued Dual Rectifier was that I hoped it would accurately recreate the filthy sound I get from my Tremoverb in Red Vintage mode.

Red Vintage on the Tremoverb gets an ungodly boost in Presence from the addition of the values of both the Orange an Red channel controls. You can sweep the knob on the Orange channel and listen to the sound get brighter and gnarlier.

There was a point where I wanted the filthiest gain sound I could, and used Red Vintage to record the first version of this song. I was never able to get the same tone for key parts of it, so I left the Tremoverb in for them.

Most of this song was recorded a Road King, but you can hear the Tremoverb on this track from 0 to 15 seconds, and then later on from 1:32 to 2:06. especially at about 1:56.

I've been trying to see what I can do to replicate this with an eq on one of my other rectifiers. So far I haven't really be satisfied with the results.
