Hi All,

I'm going to let me build a flightcase for my Mark V combo. I wanted to incorporate 6 rack units above the combo, however, the trunk of my car is only 76 cm's high... meaning there is no way I can fit that case into my trunk standing up.

It would however fit if I would transport the flightcase on it's back.. however, is it safe to transport a Mark V combo on its back, even in a flightcase?

Another fligthcase configuration I'm looking at is 2 rackunits above the combo (G-major2 + wirless), and the back would have a drawer + an additional 4 units (sonic stomp, rack wah, furmann power conditioner.. so stuff you don't really need on the front).

I always heard a combo or a cab should be carried with the speaker facing the floor. This way the speaker rests on the structure instead of the other way round, where the speaker hangs from the chassis.

my 2 cents...
I'm looking to build a case for my Mark V head. This was not a cheap amp and there's a lot of humidity here. Which will ruin the amp at some point, traveling a lot... i thinks it will be good for the amp!

I used to be on the Euro USO circuit entertaining the troops in the 1980s . I used my Mark IIB combo in a flight case . It took a licking and kept on ticking .
