ok so I have the oppritunity to trade my peavey 6534+ half stack for a mesa roadster 2x12 combo. Ive always wanted a mesa roadster, espeically the 2x12 combo, but now that I have the oppritunity to, Im kind of hesitant. I know the roadster wieghs 100 lbs which I dont mind, and I know its going to be more versatility than what I have right now, but I dont know. Anyone want to chime in and try to sway me one way? Because I like my peavey for the most part, I do wish it has somethings which the roadster has, but these few things arent enough to make me wanna try to trade it ASAP. On the other hand, low end is something Ive always fought with the Peavey about, And I know I love the sound of rectos, but Im also a bit concerned it may be a bit too loose/ muddy for my 7 string and bands drop tunings

Meh. I wouldn't. Roadsters are tough to get rid of for starters, if you were ever to chose to go with something else (or found that you hated it). I loved mine, but I wouldn't revisit it. Sometimes I think I would, then I recall how I never liked how I stood in the mix, and quickly recant such novelties.

I wouldn't man. I loved my Roadster, but also loved my 6505. Especially with a 7 string, I think the Peavey might be more up your alley. If anything, ditch the cab for something with V30's. It'll tighten up that bottom end.

Yep, V-30s are AMAZING cranked. Good call there. I was actually just recording with my custom built Mesa Royal Atlantic combo today. It has a Black Shadow and V-30 in it. I kept A/Bing the two speakers. No doubt about it, the V-30 was much better for my distorted parts.

Yea guys i passed on the roadster, and im waiting for the cabinet to sell so i can buy an orange closedback 212.

The c90s have to much sizzle and extreme high end that keep my presence knob on 3/10.

But if anyone live in the GTA and wants an older metal grille mesa 412 let me know
