Hello All. It's time for me to retube my '88 Mark III (power tubes only). I need two 6L6's and EL34's. Any suggestions?
The R2 and Lead channels are more important to me. Warm and compressed is better than bright. Earlier breakup is more important than headroom to me. THANKS!!!

No suggestions? I was hoping someone out there would be able to guide me in the right direction. I searched the site but didn't come up with anything about NEW Non-Mesa tubes for Mark III's. I would really appreciate any info.

I have the original 415's, but also use STR442 and 454's. The 454's are great, and close in tone to the sylvannias.. The 442 is a beefy tube, and has a warm rich breakup when driven hard. This combo really is great for high gain stuff..
I've heard Boogie Babies uses GT6L6 and GT6CA7GE's in his mark III. I have GT6CA7GE in my son's TSL100 and they sound excellent!
If you weed through this forum, you'll get all the info..
ax.
