Time for a Tremoverb retube???????

Hey gang -

I just got a "new" TOV, and I'm wondering if I should replace ALL the tubes in it??

It came with all of the tubes individually packed in bubblewrap (good!), and when I put them all in... Powered up nicely and...... no sound!!

After a LOOOOOOOOOOONG while of tinkering with the settings and going over the online manual, I decided to start tube swapping... And sure enough... the V1 tube was shot....

It now works fine, but I'm thinking I should re-tube to be safe.....

Whatcha think??

It certainly can't hurt anything...and if the old ones (exc V1) still function, you have a set of spares for the gig.

Is it true that Rectifier tubes rarely go bad?? :?:

They don't go bad often...but boy, when they do......
